Odisha is a state in eastern India with a 5000-years of history. The state’s official language is Odia.It contains thirty districts. Its capital is Bhubaneswar. Both Cuttack and Puri are significant districts in the state and are among Odisha’s oldest districts. The capital of Odisha was once Puri, but it was subsequently moved to Cuttack and then Bhubaneswar. In numerous Hindu Puranas its described that Badrinath, Ramnath (Rameswar), Dwarakanath, and Jagannath Dham (Shrikhetra) are the four holiest places (Chaar Dham). The eastern Indian city of Puri is home to Jagannath Dham.
According to holy texts, King Bibhishan once questioned Lord Sri Ram at the conclusion of the Treta Yug: “Oh Lord, in the Dwapar Yug, you will take the form of Lord Sri Krishna, but in the Kalyug, when sin will be at its worst, what incarnation will you be?”
In response, Lord Sri Rama stated that there would be a Place called Nilachal(Puri) at the sheshore, and I would be taking form of Daaru Bramha there. This would be my greatest incarnation. Lord Jagannath, the Daaru Bramha, is him.
According to Hinduism, a pilgrimage to Chaar Dham will be ineffective without visiting Jagannath Dham. In every yug, it is even claimed that Lord Vishnu shall be worshipped at these four sacred locations. In the Satya Yug, Narayan appears in Badrinath Dham, Sri Krishna appears at Dwaraka Dham, Sri Ramachandra appears at Rameswara Dham, and Darubramha appears in the Kalyug at Puri.
In the Dwapar Yug at the end of the Yadava dynasty, while Sri Krishna was resting on Siali Lata, Jara Sabar went out hunting and saw Sri Krishna’s feet and assumed it was a game, so he fired an arrow. This arrow killed Lord Krishna. Following this, all the Pandav performed the last duties for Lord Sri Krishna. As his entire body burned, his heart never did. Lord of Fire Agni Dev expressed his inability to destroy Lord Krishna’s heart. With the partially charred body, Arjun and Jara Sabar performed the last ceremonies before giving it to the sea.
Jara Sabar was reborned as Dasyu Biswabasu, a true follower of Lord Vishnu, in the next Yug. He continues to look for Bhagwan Vishnu.
Nila Madhab then appeared in a nook of the jungle close to Nilagiri Mountain. There, alone, he began worshipping Nil Madhab. Because of his devotion, the Lord pleased and granted a boon for a baby girl to spare him from living without children. Lalita was the name of the girl. Everything was good, but Biswabasu was worried about losing Nila Madhab since the Lord had said that he would vanish and reappear as Lord Jagananth(Darubramha). For this reason, he never permitted anybody to visit Nila Madhab or disclosed Nila Madhab’s whereabouts to anyone.
Indradyumna Dev, the devout king of Avanti, was hearing the music of the flute every day in sleep. Every night, King Indradyumna would have a same dream in which he would only hear the sound of the flute. King Indradyumna was afraid to sleep as a result. He believed he was ill and attempted to treat it, but it was ineffective. He prayed Sri Narayan to spare him from this since he is a devotee of Sri Narayan. After hearing a heavenly voice instruct him to find Nila Madhab one night in a dream, he abruptly sprang out of sleep. He began by enquiring about Nila Madhab and the significance of this dream to everyone.
